   Start with one small moment

   Open Lovechild and add the first thing that comes to mind — a photo from this morning, a sentence your child said yesterday, a tiny aha you don't want to forget. There's no right way to begin. The point is to begin.

2. 02

   Capture in the moments you have

   Lovechild is built for thirty-second additions. A photo and a one-line note in the school pickup line. A voice memo on the walk home. The story doesn't ask for a perfect entry — it asks for a real one.

   Invite the village

   Add the people who see your child often: a partner, grandparents, a childminder, a godparent, a favourite aunt. Each of them gets their own way in. They contribute what they noticed — not what you missed.

   You stay at the centre

   You decide who's in the village, what they can see, and what gets added to the story. Lovechild gathers their contributions in one place, but the record always belongs to you and your child.

   Let the story build itself

   Over weeks and months, Lovechild shapes everything you've added into an unfolding view of your child — milestones, moments, and the qualities people keep noticing in them. You don't have to do anything special. You just have to keep going.

   Look back, gently

   Revisit any chapter, any age, any contributor's view. Lovechild is also for you — a calmer sense of where your child has been, and who they're becoming, on any given Tuesday.
